Best brunch spots in Leicester

We have taken a great deal of enjoyment in our quest to find the best brunch spot in Leicester. Here we are going to talk you through a handful of the noteworthy contenders. The quest will continue indefinitely so if you can recommend somewhere that we should try, please get in touch and we will make an updated version later in the year.

The Contenders:

We were served by probably the friendliest staff member I’ve ever met. Nice atmosphere, nice decor, although similar to all the other Bills as they are a chain. Food was nice and tasty not too greasy but didn’t have the wow factor. Would certainly eat there again but wouldn’t be my first choice.  7/10

I love this place, have been a few times now and never disappoints. Whilst I like the look of the pancakes, I’m a creature of habit and Eggs Benedict is my go to brunch. I love that they serve it with bacon not ham, I love that the hollandaise sauce is so buttery. I just love this place. If it was solely down to me I would give it a 10/10 however my partner is not sold on the style of the restaurant, he would much prefer a comfy grandad chair over a stylish one (Boo hiss). So in the name of fairness 9.5/10

Wetherspoon – Lord Keeper of the Great Seal- Oadby.

I think anyone who doesn’t include good old ‘spoons on their list of brunch spots is a fool, a fool I tell you! Under £10 for a choice of hot breakfast (Eggs Benedict obviously) a hot drink and a fruit juice. Super speedy service and if you want a drink at 10am on a weekday, no one is going to judge you here! 8/10

Cosy Club

This is the only place where I don’t stick to my normal Eggs Benedict, purely because they offer a lobster brunch….LOBSTER! Yum!! They also have a bottomless prosecco trolley to accompany your brunch on a Sunday. Make sure you take the bus for this one! 8.5/10

Knight & Garter

The gorgeous dining room is hidden behind a concealed door, this is the kind of Scoobie Doo intrigue that rocks my world. The menu is fab! Steak and eggs, Crab and of course trusty Eggs Benedict. The food is beautifully presented and tastes Devine. The decour is somewhere between casual and fine dining. If you’re a converse girl like me, make sure you choose shiny white ones to look your smartest here. 9/10

Where are your favourite Leicestershire Brunch Spots? Let me know.

Wow what a list. I did a review of Knight and Garter when it first opened and I love their Eggs Benedict but Kai, Delilahs and Mrs Bridges are also brunch favourites. I did a similar post to this concentrating on coffee and cake stops in LE1. Leicester just has so many great options these days.
